Subdivision

A metronome you can shape around the music: set any time signature, tap a beat to accent or mute it, subdivide into eighths, triplets or sixteenths, and let the tempo trainer raise the speed automatically while you practise. Timing is scheduled on the audio clock, so the click never drifts.

How do I choose the right practice tempo?

Start at a speed where you can play the passage perfectly — usually 60–70% of the target. Increase in small steps of 2–4 BPM, or let the tempo trainer do it automatically every few bars.

What do the accents on the beats do?

The first beat of each bar is accented by default. Tap any beat dot to cycle it between accented, normal and muted — muted beats are great for testing whether you hold the tempo yourself.

Which time signatures are supported?

All the common ones — 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4 — plus compound and odd meters like 3/8, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8 and 12/8.
